Mrs Ruby Williams unveiled the new honours board at Aberdare Rugby Club which is in memory of her husband Robbie Williams a past Chairman and Mid-District representative for the WRU. At the club that evening were Robbie’s family and friends and representatives from the WRU and Mid-district.

Chairman, Humphrey Evans spoke of his friendship with the family and how Robbie was instrumental in moving the club from Aberaman to Aberdare and how Robbie’s personality made him a joy to know. Robbie’s son Ray, who had travelled from his home in Worcester to be there, thanked everyone for the respect shown to his father who had been dedicated to Rugby football, especially at Aberdare which had played a large part of his own childhood.
