Captain's Message

I would like to welcome you all to Aberdare RFC and the 2008/09 season.

With us now competing in Division 3 South East, having gained promotion in 2007/08, it is a great privilege to lead this club, especially considering its long and successful history over the years and the players that have captained and played for the club previously.

There is an increased expectation on the players this year after last seasons promotion, to which I am more than confident the players can fulfil, especially after managing to retain the majority of last seasons squad, the appointment of a new coaching team and recruiting well over the off-season in some key positions. Additionally, the introduction of some very promising youth players will also benefit the squad this year.                                                                 .                                                                      
 
An exciting and challenging season lies ahead for us all, whereby there is a real buzz around the squad that we can establish ourselves at this level and earn respect from every team we face. Hopefully you will all join us on this journey, getting behind and fully supporting the team through the highs and the lows that we will no doubt experience, whereby we will have achieved our ambitions for the season come May next year,
